Created by Elan Lee (XBOX, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (XBOX, Marvel). Exploding Kittens became legendary in 2015 when over 219,000 people backed the game on Kickstarter. The game is a highly strategic, kitty-driven version of Russian Roulette. Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten and explodes and pops and is out of the game - unless there's a Defuse card that can defuse the kitten by using laser beams, a belly scratch, or a valerian cocktail. All other cards in the deck are used to manipulate, deter, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.
