Wooden game 2 in 1 - Chess and backgammon

Two classic games in one - chess and backgammon! Both games stimulate logical and strategic thinking, you choose which game to play. It is made of solid wood.

Instructions for playing Chess

Separate the black and white pieces. Place the board between you and your opponent - making sure the board area to your right is light colored.

Figures:

A king - the highest piece - can move one square forward in any direction.

Queen - has a crown and is the second highest piece - can move in any direction as long as there are free squares.

Knight - looks like a horse - a special piece that moves in any direction, but must be placed on a colored field, so its movement is forward and then sideways. Can skip shapes.

A rook – it looks like the towers of a castle – can be moved backwards, forwards, left or right as long as there are free spaces.

Officer - has a pointed hat - can move in any direction but diagonally.

A pawn – the lowest piece – can move one space forward, but on the first move it can move two.

Place the board as shown in the picture. White pieces always start first. The object of the game is to capture your opponent's king and not allow your king to be captured. If you want to move your piece and your opponent's piece is in the way - remove it from the board - this means "taking" a piece. If the piece is a king, you win the game! If the opponent's king is captured, it is called "check". If the moves on the board are such that with each one you can capture the opponent's king, it is called "checkmate" and you win the game. Pawns, although they move one square, can also move two. Pawns cannot take a piece that is placed in front of them. If a pawn reaches the opposite side of the board, it must be replaced by another piece (no king or another pawn) and you can choose the type of piece even if that means having more pieces of one type. This is called a "sub-promotion".

Checkers Game Instructions

Each player places a checker in the light colored squares in three rows in front of him. Players take turns moving their checkers diagonally in the "forward" direction. If a player jumps over his opponent's checker, then that checker must be removed from the game. Players can skip multiple checkers. Players should do this if given the opportunity. Jumping must be done diagonally.
