COLOGNE RETRO – a scent of a memory from the past COLOGNE RETRO is a recreation of the scent that the creators’ father once wore. A scent that was felt when he left for work early in the morning, but by the time he returned in the evening it had already disappeared, hidden by cigar smoke. The design was inspired by a distant memory of the classic hexagonal floor tiles in their grandfather’s home in Belgium – a detail from childhood turned into a visual story. This memory is recreated through a fresh composition of lemon, bergamot and mandarin, complemented by pineapple and rose. The heart unfolds with neroli, petitgrain, orange blossom, lavender and jasmine, while musk and ambergris in the base give a warm, sensual and distinctly masculine character. The candle is made of 100% natural wax, and the wick is cotton, which ensures clean burning without soot.
