Description
A mysterious rock from outer space fell to Earth. What can it be and what does it contain? Perhaps it is a message sent by a distant extraterrestrial civilization or a fragment of some asteroid coming from this area (the asteroid belt), midway between Mars and Jupiter, where most of these celestial objects originate.
To find out, take the hammer and chisel and dig among its craters. Be careful though: to avoid destroying its contents, you have to be as careful as a paleontologist looking for a fossil embedded in a rock.
First of all, you will see different parts of a space rover that you have to assemble by following the instructions. You can do this together with another astronaut and a flying drone like the one (Ingnewty) who is currently on Mars. You'll find them both embedded in the rock, and you'll be able to use them together with the rover to pick up a piece of rock from another planet, just like what happens during real NASA missions! There's already one in the "space rock" you just opened: if you haven't found it yet, keep digging and scavenging.
It could be a piece of chondrite, in other words, a fragment of an asteroid of a similar age to Earth and other planets of our solar system: about 4.5 billion years! Or it could be a tektite, namely a rock that didn't come from outer space, but which nevertheless formed as a result of a meteorite impact on Earth.
Suitable for children over 6 years old.
