How often should I bathe my baby?
For newborns, 2–3 baths per week are usually enough as long as you clean the face, hands, neck and nappy area daily. As your baby grows you can bathe more often, especially if they enjoy it, but a daily bath is not essential if their skin is dry or sensitive.
What is the right water temperature for a baby bath?
The bath water should be warm, not hot – around 37–38°C, close to body temperature. Always test it with the inside of your wrist or elbow and swirl the water well so there are no hot spots.
